Brady Lambert began OuttaControl Designs in a small garage in Bakersfield California with a vision of creating specialized, 
creative, and artistic custom painted helmets. From that time forward, Brady’s reputation as a helmet painter has had constant 
growth.  From Stock Cars to Motocross to Goalie masks, Brady’s vision became known as SHIFTY ILL and has produced 
inventive helmets for some of the most excellent athletes across the nation.
 
In the FMX industry riders such as Metal Mulisha’s Colin “Scummy” Morrison, Billy Walls, Lance Coury, Myles Richmond, 
and Garrett Ahlf turn to Shifty Illusions for their custom helmets.
 
As word of Brady’s creativity began to spread, Goalie Helmets also became a priority for this custom painter.  Masks have 
been painted for Kevin St. Pierre, LA Kings Goalie Yutaka Fukufuji, Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jamie Hodson, and Carolina
Hurricanes prospect Chris Madden and more…..
 
Shifty Illusions has worked with companies such as SetWear, Hustler Clothing, Bakersfield Condors, Fort Wayne Komets, 
Tulsa Oilers, NXi Defence Systems, MXBONZ, and the Long Beach Ice Dogs.
 
Over the last five years Brady has given back to his community and many others across the nation by raising charitable dollars
in support of local and national charities such as the Jr. Diabetes Research 
Foundation (JDRF).
